What was originally the military stronghold of Terezín, built in the eighteenth century by Emperor José II, is inseparably linked to the history of World War II. The best-known Gran Fortaleza-Ciudad de Terezín served as a concentration camp for Jews from all over Europe, and in 1944, it was even used in a manipulated way for Nazi propaganda purposes during a visit by the International Red Cross. 

The lesser-known Little Fortress was a cruel prison of the Nazi secret police (the Gestapo). If you are interested in the history of World War II and the Holocaust, visit with us the Small Fortress of Terezín and the museums located in the Great Fortress.

Bus with driver + English and other languages speaking guide + entrance to the Little Fortress, the Ghetto's Museum and the crematorium are included in the price.
